Years ago when I was in a completely different business, I thought that a good looking web site was the most any business needed. Boy, was I wrong!
This graphic, created by Mike Blumenthal, is the best visual representation I have ever seen of the complex process of getting websites to the top of the search engines and keeping them there. It is a very involved process that needs to continue as long as you want your website to rank well in the search engines and bring in the new clients you need.
If you don’t have a process like this going on, either your website is not not ranking well and not doing it’s job or if you are currently ranking well, you won’t be when the competition heats up.
